Chris
Bowden
I
was born in Cornwall and educated locally with further
education in Plymouth firstly in the catering industry
and then with a change of direction at Art School taking
a City & Guilds of London Institute 744 in professional
photography. This has been a life long interest for me
and my personal interest is landscape photography covering
mainly Devon and Cornwall and have been self employed
for 13 years undertaking weddings and general photographic
work for local newspapers the Cornish Times and the Western
Morning News, local graphic designers and local businesses.
I have had published work in magazines such as Wood Turner,
Router Cabinet Maker and Farmers Weekly. I have had exhibitions
at local art centres and local libraries and am currently
a part time lecturer at Saltash College teaching photography.
For my personal work I prefer to work in Black & White
as I feel it brings out the true atmosphere of landscape
images and I also paint in the medium of pastels specialising
in portraits of dogs.
